A:Grade packs some potent flavours for the second instalment of his Flavours series, the follow up to the increasingly popular Flavours Part 1.
His third solo release for Uprise Audio is
comprised of four neck snapping records,
built for maximum dance floor wile outs!
There has been a lot of hype building around
this release and we’re pleased to say that these are the ones you have been waiting for.

The EP kicks off with ‘Go’ and bounces into action with infectious wobbly bass and punchy drums, in contrast with the zippy ‘space invader’ feels of retro gaming. Building with constant energy, ‘Go” commands attention with its flamboyance and flair. The second half tells its own story though, submerging us in deep swampy textures and angry subs.

The ironically named ‘No Drama’ has been causing major drama on dub plate, making its presence felt and heightening the anticipation of its release. Built for big rigs in dark rooms, it’s an all round intense and aggy affair, incorporating orchestral leads, together with snappy drum work, full of attitude, energy and momentum. Make no mistake, ‘No Drama’ was built for dance floor stomping.

‘Stop it’ sees A:Grade call upon the talents of Chonk Mob member Koma to collaborate with. Both have distinct signature sound design to their works, which they infused together to make this sonic weapon with potent flavour and groove. As the title suggest, whenever a DJ drops this tune, the crowd wanna stop it, wheel it up and come again.

The EP’s final cut is ‘Samurai’. The precision sound design on display demonstrates A:Grade’s production ability and showcases his craft. This track stands tall with large stature and the intense overtones of a Kill Bill fight scene. Like a Hattori Hanzō sword slicing through sonics, the intoxicating hook and drums lead this track all the way, backed up by a barrage of sub bass.

A:Grade has set himself up for a huge year ahead as one of dubstep’s rising stars. Like Flavours Part 1, these tunes will be rattling sound systems for a long time to come.
